MegAStar Narrowboats are a UK based manufacturer of bespoke canal boats. They are highly experienced in the design and construction of both widebeam and narrowbeam canal boats and pride themselves in paying attention to the smallest detail. The company is run by professional joiner Simon Britton.
Project Requirements
Simon appointed Green Route Media to provide a website redesign service. His existing website was built on the WordPress content management system (CMS), but it was long overdue an update. It was slow, unresponsive and didn't provide up to date information on the products and services available from MegAStar Narrowboats. Simon also required the ability to keep his portfolio up to date to showcase the boats he has delivered for customers across the UK.
The Solution
As the MegAStar Narrowboats website was already based on the WordPress CMS, this project was a perfect fit for Green Route Media. We had already delivered numerous WordPress website redesigns for other clients and were happy to welcome Simon as a new customer. We restructured the website from the ground up, removing various unnecessary plugins which had been added over the years. We also created a new section within WordPress where Simon could easily create posts to keep his gallery/portfolio up to date. The end result was a fast and responsive website that cleanly displayed the craftsmanship that customers of MegAStar Narrowboats receive.
