WordPress Web Design

Websites built on top of a content management system (CMS) to help you stay in control of your website's content.

Stay in control of your website with a content management system

A content management system (CMS) helps you to easily manage the information on your website without the need for any web development skills. With the help of a CMS you gain access to a secure administrative area where you can log in and edit information freely.

An effective CMS not only makes it easy for you to update and manage your website, it can also be customised to reflect the needs and structure of your business. This is something that Green Route Media specialises in, often creating content managed websites built around the individual needs of our clients.

Our CMS of choice is the WordPress platform, the most popular CMS in use today. WordPress offers a wide range of features which are beneficial to all businesses, regardless of size. If the needs of your business don’t fit in with the way WordPress operates, then we can also provide fully bespoke CMS platforms which are built from the ground up and tailored to your individual needs.

What's Involved

1. Initial Consultation

We'll meet for a free, no-obligation consultation where we'll sit down and discuss the features that your CMS must have.

2. Our Proposal

We'll then produce a detailed proposal for your new CMS based on the requirements we identified during our initial consultation.

3. Content Gathering

When you're ready to move ahead, we'll gather the necessary content we need from you so that we can start to build your CMS.

4. Design & Build

When we have everything we need from you, we'll proceed to design and build your CMS based on the scope of the proposal.

5. Review & Amend

We'll give you access to a private area where you can review your new CMS and notify us of any changes you would like making.

6. Website Launch

When everything's ready, we'll launch your new website. We can also provide training to help you get to grips with your new CMS.

Frequently Asked Questions

As all our content managed websites are made to measure, it's difficult to put an exact cost on your project before we've been able to discuss your needs. As a guide, our average price for a CMS based website is around £1500, however, this may be higher or lower depending on the functionality you require. We only work with open source software, meaning there will be no ongoing license fees to pay.
CMS based websites are generally more complex to create than traditional websites. Therefore, our typical lead time for a CMS website is between 6 and 8 weeks, however, this largely depends on your requirements and how soon we can obtain any information that we require from yourselves (images, content etc.)
Whilst WordPress is the best choice for many of our clients, it might not fit the needs of every business. If WordPress isn't the right fit for you, we can develop a bespoke CMS platform that's specifically tailored to your individual needs.
We always recommend that clients take out an annual technical support agreement to cover any faults with their CMS. We also offer maintenance contracts that cover the upgrade of the WordPress platform, helping to keep your website up to date and secure.
No, we don't. In fact, we cater for businesses all over Yorkshire and have clients in Leeds, Hull, Sheffield and Rotherham. If you're based in or around one of these locations, then the chances are we'd be more than happy to drop by and have a chat to see how we can help your business - simply let us know you'd like a visit.
