Rotherham MCVC are an organisation that supports ex-service military personnel and their families in Rotherham and the surrounding areas. The organisation offers friendly help and advice on a wide range of issues such as healthcare, housing, employment, benefits and general comradeship to help make a positive difference to the wellbeing of local veterans. Rotherham MCVC chose Green Route Media in early 2015 for the redesign of their existing website.
Project Requirements
As a community focused organisation, Rotherham MCVC needed a website that would reach out to those in need of the services they provide. The website needed to be easily manageable by members of the organisation so that they could keep information up to date and relevant to its target audience. This would involve editing existing pages, creating news articles, adding information on upcoming events and keeping the gallery up to date.
The Solution
Our solution involved designing a website for Rotherham MCVC that was built on top of the WordPress content management system. The WordPress platform would provide an easy to use dashboard where members could log in to edit content with ease.
We delivered a modern website with responsive design enhancements, making the website suitable for use across multiple devices - a feature that is helping the organisation reach an even wider audience. Our solution included the development of dedicated areas within the WordPress dashboard where members could add news articles and information on upcoming events whilst also maintaining the gallery and profiles of its members.
Since launching the redesigned website, Rotherham MCVC have gone from strength to strength and are helping even more veterans than before. The organisation has entered into a long term support contract with Green Route Media for the support of their website and email system.
